Breaking schmooze: Antiques lover is buying the shop

DOING A VICTOR: Remember Victor Kiam? He's the guy who liked his Remington shaver so much, he bought the company. Our town's version of that just may be antiques enthusiast John Robinson III. Robinson was a huge fan of Finches Antiques in Clayton, and loved whiling away Saturday afternoons at the shop. When he found that the owner, Jeri Finch, was planning to retire, he bought the store. Robinson acquired his first Ruby Red bud vase as a 12-year-old and his collection now runs to more than 800 pieces. He's going to rename the shop, Finches by Robinson, Ltd. Finch opened the shop in 1989.
